Dimfrost Studio is looking for a software engineer focused on animation and gameplay to join our talented development team in Norrköping, Sweden. You will work closely together with others in an interdisciplinary team of experts to define, design and implement our games’ gameplay. Your job is to provide the games’ core gameplay together with our animators and designers, and make sure that the games feel as good, responsive and believable as possible.

We are looking for a creative person with a passion for game development. You love beautiful games with a deeper narrative, and you want to be a part of a team that makes the rich Nordic folklore come alive.

Responsibilities:
Work closely together with animators, programmers and game designers to make sure that features are implemented as designed
Implement features and game mechanics that are related to player interactivity - your job is to make the gameplay feel as smooth as possible, and implement the animations that the animators provide
Assist designers with gameplay prototypes, and work closely with the animators to ensure that game mechanics and animations are implemented in a timely manner
Work in-depth with blueprints and animation blueprints in a structured way

Qualifications:
Experience in Unreal Engine
Experience of blueprints in Unreal Engine
Experience of animation blueprints in Unreal Engine
Experience in animation programming (i.e., integrating animations with gameplay)
Understanding of animation principles and how they affect gameplay
Understanding of inverse kinematics and how to implement them
Self-motivated
Good communication skills
Ability to give and receive, positive and constructive feedback Visa mindre
